Sam Gold SocMed-1Founder Sam Gold, who has 18 years’ HR management experience across the private and public sectors in companies covering financial services, insurance, utilities, legal, publishing, communications, automotive and education, delivers professional and credible HR services which boost any company’s capability, productivity and profitability.

Passionate about the benefits of using a collaborative and pragmatic approach to working with her clients, Sam takes the time to understand their immediate and longer term challenges, strategy and goals in order to quickly identify solutions which can add value.

With qualifications including a post graduate diploma and MSc in Human Resource Management, she is also a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an accredited Workplace Mediator.

Associate Consultant | Jane Blackwood

Jane Blackwood is MCIPD qualified and has over 20 years experience managing all aspects of the HR functions, ranging from establishing policies, procedures and handbooks to handling recruitment and redundancies.  Solid recruitment experience allows her to deal effectively with the process from search to completion and ensure the smooth handling of all employment law situations avoiding costly mistakes.

Change is constant in business and in her roles Jane has worked alongside Board Directors and Managers to successfully deal with mergers, management buy outs, acquisitions and divesting parts of businesses.  Jane believes communication is fundamental to success and has used her skills to ensure that she is approachable at every level and all parties understand the process. Strong communication skills have allowed her to smooth the path of change; ensuring employees and managers are focussed on their customers and the business.

In addition Jane specialises in coaching and mentoring managers, working with them to improve their ability to perform their roles and manage their departments more efficiently.

Associate Consultant | Mara Thorne

Mara Thorne

Mara Thorne has over 20 years’ experience in HR, having worked in senior roles within a number of different industries including civil engineering, manufacturing, multi-site agency and FMCG.

Mara is MCIPD qualified and is also an ACAS accredited Internal Workplace Mediator.

Her career has encompassed all aspects of HR and people management, including recruitment, employment contracts, staff handbooks and policies, performance management, absence management, change management, conflict resolution (discipline, grievances), training and development, pay and pensions, basic health and safety, and dismissal (including redundancy).

Mara specializes in working with SME’s, providing practical and commercially-focused support to take the pain out of employment.
